Design Assistant

The Design Assistant helps you brainstorm ideas and get design assistance for your project. It provides suggestions and helps refine your project elements, allowing you to focus on your creativity and storytelling.

The Design Assistant knows everything in a user's project and is automatically updated with new additions. It can provide a summary of your project, including key details such as the setting, characters, and scoring system.

Accessing the Design Assistant

To access the Design Assistant:

  1. Click on the Design Assistant button (sparkles icon) on the right of the top menu.
  2. Type a question about your story or the Arcweave documentation in the chat interface.

Interrupting generation

If you want to stop the the Design Assistant while it is generating a response, click the stop button (circle icon) to immediately end the generation process.

This is useful if you want to reformulate your question or if the response is going in an unwanted direction. When stopped, the partial response is discarded, allowing you to start fresh with a new query.

ℹ️ The Assistant can make mistakes, so be sure to verify important information in advance.

Question examples

With The Castle (the built-in example project) in mind, here are some examples of questions you could ask the Design Assistant:

  • How can the player find the Crusader's name?
  • Where does the player defeat the Crusader, and how?
  • Where is the element called "Battle?"
  • What is the usage of the health variable, and what is its initial value?
  • Do you have any recommendations on how I can continue the story?
  • Do you find any plot holes?
