Workspace members and guests can use comments to communicate directly on projects. Users with the above roles can add and reply to comments, as well as mention each other.
Based on their comment settings, users get email notifications for project comments.
Comment pins behave like other board entities: they can be selected and moved freely. Clicking a comment pin selects the comment and also expands the full thread of replies.
To select multiple comment pins, hold Shift or Ctrl/Cmd and either:
To delete a comment, you must delete its pin. You can:
Select the pin and press Delete or Backspace.
Right-click the pin and select Delete from the context menu.
⚠️ Deleted comments cannot be restored with undo or History.
✅ If a comment is no longer relevant, consider resolving it instead of deleting it. Resolved comments remain in the project and can be reopened at any time.

Create comments
To create a comment:

Type your comment.
Click Post or press Ctrl/Cmd + Enter.
Creating a comment also places a comment pin on the board, marking the location of the comment thread.

To mark a comment thread as resolved, click the ✔ (checkmark icon) at the top right of the comment.
By default, pins of resolved threads are hidden. You can show or hide them using the comment settings in the sidebar.

To delete a comment, you must delete its pin. You can:
User mentions
Users collaborating in a project can mention each other in comments.
To mention a user that already has access to a project:
@character and continue typing the desired username.Mentioned users get an email notification. Email notifications can be configured in the comment settings.
Comment sidebar
Click the Comment icon in the top-right menu to open the comment sidebar. This panel displays all project comments in one place.
Clicking on a comment from the sidebar scrolls the board to its corresponding pin and opens the thread.
Comment settings
To manage comment visibility and notifications, click the comment settings icon at the top right of the comment sidebar.
Show resolved comments
Enable this option to display resolved comments and their pins both in the workspace and in the sidebar. (Disabled by default.)
Receive email notifications
Whenever a comment is added to a project, email notifications are sent to the workspace's and project's owners, editors, and commenters.
Notifications include new comments and resolution updates.
By default, users receive notifications for all comments, but they can limit email notifications to mentions and replies only.
If a user has not yet visited the project, they receive email notifications only for comments in which they are mentioned.
