Description: Quick tour of collaboration in Arcweave, with workspace members and guests, real-time co-editing, notes, and comments

Arcweave is built for teams, keeping every member aligned throughout the creative process. Its collaboration features operate at two levels:

- **Workspaces**:
Manage members, guests, access levels, and permissions.
- **Projects**:
Co-create in real time, leave notes on boards, and exchange comments with your team.

## Workspaces

Arcweave's workspace tools let you control who has access to your projects and what they can do. It distinguishes between workspace **members** and **guests**, each with different access levels and permissions.

### Members

Context: Arcweave docs > Introduction > Quick tour > Collaboration > Workspaces > Members

Members are users with workspace-wide access.

### Guests

Context: Arcweave docs > Introduction > Quick tour > Collaboration > Workspaces > Guests

Guests are users with access to one or more specific projects, without full workspace access.

See [Your workspace](https://docs.arcweave.com/introduction/quick-tour/workspace) for details.

## Projects

Arcweave offers two in-project tools for team communication and feedback: notes and comments.

### Notes

**Notes** are colorful, rich text boxes you can place anywhere on a board — ideal for leaving context, flagging areas for review, or guiding collaborators through your project structure.

### Comments

For direct team communication, **comments** offer a more focused channel. Drag the **Comment** icon from the bottom menu onto any board area to place one.

Comments support **replies** and **@mentions**, and the comments sidebar can [filter](https://docs.arcweave.com/project-items/comments#filters) them, for example to show only comments you are involved in. Users receive **email notifications** according to their [email notification settings](https://docs.arcweave.com/project-items/comments#email-notification-settings), which can include all comments, mentions and replies only, or none.
